Every ingredient is selected based on functionality and formulation integrity, not trends or marketing claims. With our own in-house chemist, support from third-party labs and leading manufacturing partners, we ensure each raw material meets the strictest quality and safety standards before being incorporated into a SALT formula.

Are your products safe for colour-treated hair?

Yes. SALT formulations are designed to support long-term hair health and are suitable for colour-treated hair. Our products are formulated without the harsh ingredients commonly associated with colour fade, allowing you to maintain both hair condition and colour integrity.

Do your products contain SLS, SLES, silicone, or any harsh ingredients?

No. SALT products are formulated without harsh or unnecessary ingredients commonly associated with dryness, buildup, or irritation. All of our formulas are free from sulphates such as SLS and SLES, as well as silicones, parabens, phthalates, and other low-quality fillers.

How do subscriptions work?

Subscriptions are the easiest way to keep your favourite SALT products stocked up while saving 10% on every delivery.

Simply choose your preferred delivery frequency when purchasing, and we’ll automatically dispatch your order on schedule. You can manage your subscription at any time through your customer portal, including updating your delivery frequency, delivery address, and product quantity, and upcoming order dates.

Please note that a minimum of one replenishment cycle is required before cancellation.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription through your customer portal after completing your first replenishment order.

Subscriptions cannot be cancelled before the first recurring order has been processed.

Can I delay my next subscription order?

Yes. If you need a little longer before your next delivery, you can delay your upcoming order by:

  • 10 days
  • 20 days
  • 30 days

This can be managed directly within your customer portal.

Can I pause my subscription?

No, subscriptions cannot be paused.

However, you can:

  • Extend your delivery frequency up to 90 days.
  • One-time delay an upcoming order by 10, 20, or 30 days.
How do I change my delivery frequency?

You can update your delivery frequency at any time through your customer portal.

Delivery intervals can be adjusted up to a maximum of 90 days between deliveries.

Can I combine discounts with my subscription?

No. Subscription orders already receive a 10% discount and cannot be combined with additional discount codes, promotional offers, or sale discounts unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Can I bring my next order forward?

Yes. If you’re running low sooner than expected, you can place your upcoming subscription order immediately from your customer portal.

Your future deliveries will then continue based on your selected subscription schedule.

Can I change the quantity of products in my subscription?

Yes. You can increase or decrease the quantity of products within your subscription at any time through your customer portal.

Can I remove products from my subscription?

Yes. Products can be removed from your subscription provided at least one subscription product remains active.

Can I update my delivery address?

Yes. You can change your delivery address at any time before your next order is processed.

You can manage all aspects of your subscription through your SALT customer portal, including:

  • Upcoming order dates

We offer fully tracked delivery services worldwide.

UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Royal Mail Tracked 48.

US orders are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning all import duties and taxes are covered — no unexpected charges on delivery

International orders are shipped via trusted courier partners, including FedEx.

Available shipping options and delivery estimates are displayed at checkout based on your location.

Do you offer free UK shipping?

Free UK shipping applies to Royal Mail Tracked 48 orders over £30 after discounts have been applied

How long does delivery take?

Delivery estimates vary by destination:

  • Europe Tracked: 6–7 business days

All orders are shipped from our fulfilment centre in the UK.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times vary by destination and shipping method selected at checkout. Most UK orders arrive within 1–3 working days.

Will I have to pay import duties or taxes?

All USA orders are shipped on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis, meaning duties and taxes are included where applicable.

For destinations outside the USA, import duties, taxes, and customs fees may apply depending on local regulations. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient.

My tracking shows delivered, but I haven't received my order.

Please check with household members, neighbours, reception desks, or any safe place specified for delivery.

If you are still unable to locate your parcel, please contact us within 7 days of the delivery date and we will investigate further with the courier.

What is your returns policy?

We accept returns within 14 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a refund, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a resaleable condition.

Please contact us with your order number before returning any items. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

How do I request a return?

Please email contact us with your order number. We’ll confirm whether your order is eligible for return and provide the next steps.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked service, as items lost in transit without tracking remain the sender’s responsibility.

When will I receive my refund?

Once your return has been received and inspected, we’ll notify you of its approval. Approved refunds typically appear in your account within 5 working days.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, provided your order has not yet been despatched. Please email contact@saltgrooming.com with your order number as soon as possible.

If your order has already been despatched, it can no longer be cancelled and must instead be returned in line with our Returns Policy.

I entered the wrong delivery address. What should I do?

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number.

If your order has not yet been despatched, we’ll update the address for you. Unfortunately, once an order has been despatched, we cannot amend the delivery address.

My item arrived faulty. What should I do?

If you receive a faulty item, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and details of the issue including pictures.

We will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate and reimburse any reasonable return postage costs.

My order hasn't arrived. What should I do?

Please check the tracking link in your despatch confirmation email for the latest updates.

If your tracking has not updated for 15 consecutive days whilst in transit, the item will be considered lost. In this instance, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist with a replacement order.

I received the wrong item. What should I do?

Please contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the items received.

We’ll investigate the issue and arrange a suitable resolution as quickly as possible.

How quickly do you dispatch orders?

We despatch orders within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday. Delivery estimates are provided at checkout and can also be found on our shipping information page.

Can I exchange an item?

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different product, please return the original item in accordance with our Returns Policy and place a new order.

Why didn't I receive a free gift with my order?

Free gifts are automatically added to eligible orders and are subject to minimum spend requirements. Eligibility is calculated after discounts and promotional offers have been applied.

Who is this serum best for?

This serum is ideal for:

  • Early to moderate thinning
  • Receding hairlines or crown thinning
  • Diffuse thinning
  • Preventative use to maintain density

It is not a miracle cure for advanced baldness, where follicles are no longer viable.

How is this different from Minoxidil?

Minoxidil is a drug-based treatment that can be effective for many users but may not suit everyone.
Our serum takes a different approach, using clinically studied bioactives including Densidyl and Baicapil to support thicker, fuller-looking hair and reduce hair loss. It is alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and designed for long-term daily use.

How long does it take to see results?

Hair growth is a slow biological process. Many users notice reduced shedding and improvements in hair quality within 8–12 weeks, with visible improvements often becoming more noticeable after around 140 days of consistent use.

Individual results will vary depending on factors such as hair-loss stage, routine consistency, and overall scalp health.

Why haven't I seen results after a few weeks?

This is completely normal. Hair follicles operate in cycles, and dormant follicles require time to re-enter the growth (anagen) phase.

If you’ve been using the serum for less than three months, you are still in the foundation phase, where the scalp environment and follicle health are being restored before visible regrowth begins.

How often should I use the serum?

Use once daily, ideally at the same time each day. Apply directly to the scalp and massage in gently. Consistency matters far more than quantity.

What time of day should I apply it, and how long do I leave it in?

Apply once daily, preferably in the evening, or at a time that fits your routine. Massage into the scalp and leave it in - do not rinse out for at least 2 hours. The formula is designed to remain active over time and can be safely left in without rinsing out.

Can I use it alongside hair styling products?

Yes. The serum is lightweight and non-greasy and can be used alongside your usual styling products.

If applying in the morning, allow it to absorb fully before styling. Many users prefer evening application.

Will I experience shedding at the start?

Some users experience temporary increased shedding during the early weeks. This is a known and positive response, where weaker hairs are shed to make way for stronger, healthier growth.
This phase is temporary and typically resolves within a few weeks.

What happens if I stop using it?

Results are maintained through continued use. If you stop, hair will gradually return to its natural baseline over time.

Many customers transition to maintenance use once results are achieved.

Is it safe for long-term use?

Yes. The formula is alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and hormone-safe, designed for long-term daily use. It does not create dependency.

Can I use the serum alongside other hair-loss treatments?

Many customers use the serum as part of a broader hair-care routine. If you're currently using Minoxidil, Finasteride, or any other prescribed treatment, we recommend checking with your doctor or pharmacist before combining products, as everyone's circumstances are different.

Can I use the serum on a completely bald area?

The serum is best suited to areas where hair follicles remain active, such as thinning hairlines, crown thinning, and diffuse thinning. Results are typically more limited in areas where follicles are no longer viable.

Can I use the serum every day?

Yes. The serum is designed for daily use. Consistency is more important than applying excessive amounts.
